Megan O’Connor completed her Ph.D. in School and Clinical Child Psychology at the University of Toronto. She previously completed her MA degree in the same program at the University of Toronto, as well as a BSc. in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour from McMaster University. As part of her Ph.D. program, Megan’s research focused on gaining a better understanding of reading and language challenges in English Language Learners.
In the course of her training, Megan has worked with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of settings including the Toronto Catholic District School Board, Surrey Place Centre, Kinark Child and Family Services, and Alberta Children’s Hospital. Megan has extensive experience conducting psychoeducational and psychological assessments of children and teens, including assessments for learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, attentional challenges, and behavioural, social, and emotional concerns. Megan currently divides her time between the Department of Psychiatry at the Hospital for Sick Children and Cornerstone Psychological Services. Megan is a licensed member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
