Prior to joining the Cornerstone team as a Psychometrist in 2017, Cynthia taught elementary students in private and public schools for 33 years - more than half of this time was spent teaching children with special needs. She has extensive experience in implementing differentiated instruction using assistive technology and critical thinking methods for individuals with learning disabilities and behavioural challenges.
At present, she is involved in testing administration and intake under the supervision of a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. A positive, friendly client-centred approach is important to Cynthia. She volunteers in a primary Autism class assisting the students with fine motor, gross motor, yoga and sensory activities. Cynthia also volunteers as a tutor with JFCS.
