Psychologist/Psychological Associate Position

Job Opportunity for licensed or licensable Psychologists and/or Psychological Associates

We are an exciting and dynamic clinic with an exemplary work environment in the northern GTA.  Currently, we are looking for part-time and/or full-time psychologist/psychological associates. However, we also will consider those who are eligible for licensing here in Ontario (e.g. recent graduates or those who are in the final stages of their graduate training in a program that typically is recognized for registration through the College of Psychologists of Ontario). A background in school/educational psychology, neuropsychology and/or clinical psychology is essential. Of note, you are permitted to have another position outside of Cornerstone as long as it is not deemed to be at a competing practice (e.g. you may work at a school district, at a not for profit clinic and/or you may perform therapy/counselling services elsewhere).

In terms of the current position, we work with children, teenagers and adults. However, we realize that the successful candidate may have declared competence in only some of these groups, which is acceptable.  Your position will be assessment based, meaning that you will provide thoughtful client/parent/family interviews, comprehensive testing and a thorough but easy to read report with meaningful strategies and/or accommodations. Diagnostic categories from assessment findings typically include: learning disabilities; ADHD; Autism Spectrum Disorders; developmental disorders; giftedness; anxiety; and/or mood disorders.  Key assets to this job include: highly effective interpersonal and collaboration skills; keen attention to detail; very strong organization and time management skills; excellent writing aptitude; comfort and skill with a computer/iPad; and an advanced capacity to engage in critical thinking and to provide differential diagnoses.

In return, we offer competitive pay, opportunities to work at home and we are very flexible in terms of hours and caseload. We provide you with a managed “turn key” practice where we supply you with a completely furnished work space as well as all of your clients and test materials. We do all of the marketing and intake work, we schedule your appointments and liaise with your clients and we invoice and collect fees. In addition, we have regular supervision meetings and professional development activities. Moreover, you can (optionally) utilize our highly trained psychometry staff to assist with test administration, scoring and background writing.

Interested candidates can send a cover letter (which includes test instruments you are familiar or experienced with) along with a recent resume to [email protected].  Please add in the subject line Psychologist/Psychological Associate Position.
