Psychometrist Position

Currently, we have a permanent part-time position for a psychometrist (3 to 4 days a week) with flexible work hours now open. The job consists of:

  • Establishing strong relationships with clients of all ages and being a good ambassador for the clinic
  • Administering various psychological and/or academic tests and scoring files
  • Contributing to observations of clients with whom you are performing psychometry
  • Potentially writing backgrounds, observations and academic histories, if applicable
  • Assisting with the front office team, where needed and where you are appropriately trained (e.g. doing intakes, meeting clients, etc.)

 

The successful candidate is advised of the assets listed below that will be important for employment:

  • Bachelor of Arts in psychology as a major and/or B. Ed. and teaching background are each assets
  • Previous courses and/or experience in psychoeducational testing would be helpful although training will be provided
  • Is highly ethical, dependable and exhibits exemplary work standards
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be a collaborative team player
  • Is articulate and have excellent oral and written language skills
  • Must be capable to manage competing deadlines and deliver what is required in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Takes to direction and feedback well; capable of stress management
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills and an ability to triage/prioritize work for time management
  • Must work accurately, take pride in work and seek feedback to self-monitor and improve
  • Has well-honed observational skills
  • Flexible to accommodate clients’ and other team member’s needs
  • Must be technically comfortable; has a working knowledge of computers; experience and skill with an iPad is especially helpful
